How to paint baseboards to look fiery and excellent

What do you need to know about paint baseboards?

Painting your baseboards is one of the best cosmetic improvements you can make in a room. It only takes a day or two. Painted baseboards will help the space sparkle like nothing else. With the help of this simple trick, you can increase and expand your space at the same time.

You can choose from several different gloss levels for either latex or oil-based paints, but a slightly glossy finish is generally recommended for baseboards since it is more resistant to scuffing and is more washable than a flat finish paint.

Remove Baseboards or Leave in Place?

Required tools and materials

  • Dropcloth;
  • Eye protection and gloves;
  • Bucket;
  • Sponge;
  • Putty knife;
  • 1- or 2-inch sash brush;
  • Trisodium phosphate (TSP);
  • Painter’s tape;
  • Masking film (as needed);
  • Wood putty;
  • Fine-grit sandpaper or sanding sponge;
  • Primer;
  • Semi-gloss or high-gloss latex paint.

Instructions on what to do if you decide to paint your baseboards. It’s an easy job, it doesn’t take much time, you can finish everything in about half an hour. You need tape and nylon to protect the parquet/laminate. Take a hammer and a flat-tipped screwdriver and start removing the moldings. He then inserts new ones. Or better yet, paint it white and get rid of the extra cleaning.
